skrilex electric daisy under the sea
Some dubstep DJs are satisfied with a mere two octave drop. Some dubstep DJs aren’t Skrillex.

Last Thursday, in preparation for the Electric Daisy Carnival in Orlando, renowned dubstep disc jockey Skrillex, of “From First to Last” fame, traveled to the deepest point on Earth.

“Yeah, the Mariana Trench is like 10 kilometers deep. I wanted the dirtiest, deepest, wub-wubbiest drop I could get.” Skrillex continued, “The intensity of the tracks I laid down that day exceeded the searing 15,000 pounds per square inch pressure of the Trench.”

In addition to the earth-shattering 5 hertz frequency bass-bumpins’ he crafted in the Trench, Skrillex also reported meeting an unexpected and unique cephalopodan collaborator, Moby the colossal squid.

“Yeah, dude was munchin’ on a humpback, when suddenly I half-timed it, and he spun his huge squiddy head at me. I threw him some glowsticks and he started grimin’ so hard it was like he didn’t have vertebrate.”

Moby plans to join Skrillex for future Electric Daisy Carnival dates as a backup dancer. Skrillex explained: “Me and Mobes are pumped. This is the first time someone cared about a Moby performance since ‘We Are All Made of Stars’ dropped in 2002.”
